OUR MISSION
The Student Geosciences Council serves as the representative body for students in the College of Geosciences at Texas A&M University. Our mission is to provide a vital link between students, faculty and administration as well as our local community in an effort to enrich the intellectual, social, and professional advancement of Texas A&M's geoscience students.
OUR COMMITTEES
Exterior Relations
Exterior Relations acts as the liaison between the Council, our Sponsors and other companies as well as develop and implement professional advancement programs.
Interior Relations
Interior Relations collaborates with the numerous other organizations within the College of Geosciences in an effort to increase networking opportunities.
Career Fair
Our Career Fair team is responsible for organizing our Geosciences Networking Event as well as the Spring Geosciences Career Fair.
Marketing
Marketing is tasked with the duty of promoting events, designing merchandise, and creating fundraising opportunities for the council.
Programs & Socials
Programs & Socials is responsible for organizing events and programs that allow for the development of friendships and connections within the council.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED
Student Geosciences Council hosts numerous events each year ranging from our professional development events and programs such as the Geosciences Networking Event and Career Fair to fun socials like intramural sports, game and movie nights.
However, the best way to take advantage of all that Student Geosciences Council has to offer is to become a member! Student Geosciences Council accepts applications from all majors at Texas A&M University and invites you to come to one of our informationals in the fall!
